During these times, we must think back to our natural rights– that is, our 3 inalienable rights that we have as human beings: the right to life, liberty, and property. If the state threatens or begins to take away any of these rights, it becomes tyrannical and the people are justified in overthrowing it. In my essay The Two Treatises of Government, I spoke a lot about rebellion near the end of the second treatise. Today, the state has taken many African Americans' right to life by institutionalizing a criminal justice system through slavery and racist ideals. I believe that rebellion is necessary at a critical time like this to bring power to the people and avoid tyranny. Join in protest– only with the masses can we bring down the system!
about time someone said it loud and clear. this system has been broken since day one and we need to stop just talking and do something.
