Joe deserves it. Everyone knows him professionally. On a personal level, he was, plain and simple, a nice guy. They should make a museum of his office!

If anyone deserves to be remembered like this it is Joe. It's still hard to believe he's gone.

Joe Franklin was a NYC Icon. His TV and Radio shows were a NY staple. Joe personally helped me many times and would never refuse help to any entertainer. He deserves this honor.

Joe made History in the Guinness Book of records as the longest running Radio/TV host, this alone, in Our Town (of show biz) is meritorious. He coined many fun phrases and one was:"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice" This witty wisdom was practiced daily by a work ethic man that generously opened his door and bought or received countless souvenirs of new writers, singers and actors who were anxious for recognition/fame. Joe gave hope and promise to all, amateurs & stars alike. A beacon on Broadway, beloved Times Square was his favorite vacation spot & countless folks depended upon his smile and voice of reassurance, on air and off, late night radio or daytime hosting was his thing, like no other guy. He remembered those who passed on. Her made an effort to remember everybody, fondly and epitomized a mannerly respect sorely lacking/needed in the world today...and every day...ThankJoe for daily,ha ha ha...
