Job's Daughter Members, MM, Adults Against 2019 Proposed Supreme Amendments

You need to come to terms that our youth group may die, Due to the lack of adults and girl joining the order. Stop! look at what is happening here, we are losing members all the the time. Not just one but 50 or more each year. Sooner or later there won't be a youth group call Jobs Daughter international. Why because some of our adults are just in it for there title. When I joined the as and adult. I was into helping the girl. Now that I have been in here for several years I now decided to step back. The adults have proved that it's about them. Why can't we just stay to the order of Job daughters. It was started to give the girls some sense of direction and balance, independent, friendship, knowledge, these girls have have come a long way to get where they are today.

We need to support all our members. Let me say it louder for the people in the back, ALL OUR MEMBERS!

My daughter turns 9 this year, and I was contemplating a return to JDI and encouraging her to join. The proposed amendments are enough to turn my stomach and willingly renounce any involvement I had in my formative years. The story of Job is to teach us how to face and overcome adversity, yet these amendments are saying that certain members have to go it alone; they aren't welcome. These amendments say, only some of you can overcome adversity while others aren't worthy of support. These are ignorant amendments and those that proposed them aren't worthy of representing this organization. PHQ #7, PHQ #20, MM

No one deserves to have titles revoked over a difficult life transition. These amendments are ahteful. If they served as hq or other, that accomplishment still exists and should not be able to be revoked.

Our robes symbolize equality and unity. Punishing members for being trans is antithesis of everything JDI stands for!

As a lesbian Majority Member and PHQ, I disapprove of these amendments! We should never exclude any person for ANY reason. Our members should have a safe place to grow and be who they are! Transgender people go through very stressful treatments and decisions and our organization should never add to that stress.

it is absolutely disgusting that people are even recommending these amendments be allowed to proceed to the voting stage. If a racist past grand or supreme officer submitted amendments that bar non-white daughters, would that also be allowed to go to a vote?

I am a PHQ and PGG from VA. I have taught many trans youth in my career. They are like any other teenager: they want a safe place to learn, grow and discover who they are. Isn’t that what Job’s Daughters is supposed to be about? The BOT policy and the proposed amendments are NOT in line with the Job’s Daughters that I grew up in, know and love. The Order taught me to love and to honor those near & dear to me and to radiate happiness. I learned to be a true and loyal friend to all, not matter their situation and station in life. I cannot and will not support a policy or amendments that are a direct contradiction of these ideals.

Its 2019 people! Let's treat all people equally and with respect!

They were always my safe space. They allowed me to listen to the struggles of Job and hear the Lord's message that we do not know why different burdens were laid on different people, and this is it is not our place to judge. The message of the book of Job has guided my life. Im very sad that this is even being considered:(
