Job's Daughters is an organizational community that is supposed to foster love, acceptance, and internal community of support. With the proposal of 2019 Supreme Session Amendments 7, 8, 24, 25 that internal support network is called into question. Job's Daughters is an international sisterhood and supposed to be a safe environment for one of the most fragile times in a young child's life. These amendments, if passed, could create a hostile environment for fear of persecution from members and adults.

If an individual has transitioned, it should be handled in the same manner as if the member becomes married, or ages out.

I am adamantly opposed to amendments which would alienate members (past, present and future) as well as any amendment which would seek to strip titles, awards or honors which were earned as a member in good standing at the time.

This is a "Youth" organization NOT an adult one. It's the youth with adult assistance/direction ONLY when requested. It should be the youth proposing amendments and making the decisions on them. As a MM and mother of a PHQ/MM I strongly disagree with these proposals!

PHQ , MM , PBG # 63 , Recipient of the Degree of Royal Purple As a mother now of a LGBT child, this shocks me that the organization that was my safe haven as a youth could turn out to be so close minded and hurtful.

As a MM and PHQ (of Bethel #31 in BC, Canada) I am appalled at the prospect of these "housekeeping" amendments. This is not OK. Instead, let's help JDI move forward to become a more supportive and understanding youth group.

I am very disappointed with this proposed amendment. Not only is it discrimination but the daughter earned those titles through hard work. If she decides to change her gender, the titles were still earned and should be able to keep them. Not a good example of tolerance

I'm a PAGG from VA. We need to be supporting our most vulnerable members when they need us most, not pushing them away. I suggest a secondary amendment to allow transitioned members an automatic Majority, like we do with members who become pregnant.

Only just heard about this horrific news. And found the post on jdi saying it was delayed - due to this petition and others I'm sure. I wanted to add my name as a supporter and will add my voice to the fight. Especially if this continues to be an issue.
