This is not ok. I know Job’s as a welcoming environment where girls could go if they needed a safe place to be who they are. Please keep it that way.

As a MM, PHQ, and POMC I am disappointed that these adults have put forth an amendment that hurts our members. This goes towards choice. Let past members have the choice to be recognized if they so desire.

I can’t believe that someone from the organization would even propose these amendments

Looking back on my time in Job's Daughters, considered Jobies a youth empowerment organization. As an adult, I have found it sad how slowly the organization has changed. This is a prime example - this is exactly the opposite of empowerment and support.

In my experience with Jobs Daughters it is an organization of kindness and love. The proposed amendments do not exemplify that same kindness and love.

Sitting here trying to explain this situation to anyone I care about but that isn’t involved in the Masonic family so hard to convey why I’m so upset, disappointed, and ultimately feel our sisterhood is being forced to be broken up. Especially at a crucial time when membership involvement from current and previous members is so vital. I miss Job’s Daughters so much and I feel that if this more modern/progressive age were more involved these types of changes would never even be brought up. Please do not break up our sisterhood and the Masonic family for such intolerant line of thinking that is not only exclusionary but also damaging to someone who is transitioning and in dire need of support and love. The kind of love that we are taught to promote through the teachings of Job’s Daughters International.

Why is this even a topic of discussion? You want kids to feel safe but at the same time you want to criticize what they decide to do with their lives when they figuare out who they actually are.
How is this anyone else's decision but the person's?
HOW DARE YOU. SHAME on the people who proposed these amendments.

While this petition helps, it’s also important to make sure you speak to your voting delegates before supreme session! They’re the ones that ultimately have the ability to crush these proposed amendments. Make sure to make your voices heard!

This organization has always fostered love and understanding and acceptance. I find it totally out of character with their teachings that they would not support a transgender daughter. Where is the Jobie love?

I’m seriously disappointed. This is not what our organization is about quite the opposite actually. I hope this changes

As a past Miss Job’s Daughter, Miss Congeniality, GBHQ and PHQ of Pennsylvania, I strongly stand against this petition and encourage others to do the same. JDI has the potential to make dreams come true for so many members; don’t take away from ANY member’s hard work and love of JDI because of their gender identity. They deserve the love and acceptance we were all given upon our initiation (& hopefully before)! Please don’t abandon our members or spread transphobia.
