The 'Budds Beach' location is safest for Hire & Training activity. It is easily accessed by public transport, central and brings extra business to other businesses in the area. One Resident describes us as the sound like a leaf blower, yet we have even passed council noise tests!
The purpose of this petition is for the entire public to voice your suggestions on this to authorities and residents. We are just entitled to waterways as much as jetskis, and other commercial vessels that use it. And that "budds Beach" is the suitable location for customers safety, and access.
Or if you have any other area suggestions please let us know here. We will forward this to the Gold Coast Waterways and local residents.

I can see the count ticking up which is honestly wild but we need to stop being quiet about this because the authorities are probably just hoping we lose steam. If you have the link sitting in an open tab just send it to a group chat or post it somewhere right now because we really need that momentum to hit our next goal.

I honestly did not think so many people would back this when I typed it out sitting on my couch the other night. It feels pretty surreal to see all these people mentioning they love Budds Beach just as much as I do though (and seriously who actually thinks a flyboard sounds like a leaf blower anyway).

I was just looking at the count and we are almost at triple digits which is wild because I honestly thought this would just be ignored by the authorities at first. If you could just send this link to a few people it might actually force them to look at our noise data instead of just listening to the people complaining about leaf blowers.

What a joke. I walk my dog past there every morning and the birds are louder than the jetpacks. Some people just move next to the water then complain when things actually happen on the water.
As manager of the Gold Coast, I see this decision as favoritism. This ban was not decided due to safety, breeches of law. They have not even conducted noise tests. GCCC did noise tests and we passed! in their own words it is simply because they are tired of the complaints from a few residents in a high a $ area with friends in high places. Our local Councillors are wanting us to use the new light rail system, and get business back into surfers paradise. We do this every day! now they want us to move. with the amount of boat traffic on the broadwater i do not see any other location as safe, and convenient for you, the customer. i really hope they see this as the general public opinion, and consider it in the review.
Anyone who tries to use the noise these machines make as a reason to ban them has lost all credibility the moment the words pass their lips. A simple study will show there are numerous things at the lake that are louder than the water streams leaving these machines. Some inboard boat motors, radios being played loudly on some boats, some motorcycles driving by the lake, music being played at a lakeside restaurant, people yelling, and the noise coming from the damn intakes are just a few of the things that are far louder than these machines at the lake on which I operate.
Given the Gold Coast waterways are actually not a recognized Government department under our constitution, I really do not see what actual power they have to stop you operating that would stand up in a court of law, especially if your crafts are registered with the State Government.
Oh boy !!! Tell them to get a life !!! People have to have fun in their lives !
Once again, Australia becoming a nanny state and moaning about lack of tourism and business being bad,but put rules into place wihthout any thought for expanding the country as a first world country. NO WHERE ELSE in the WORLD has this happened. The noise is NOT the issue, the issue is people in protected employment with brains no bigger than their small pay checks wanting to get rid of to what they percieve as an annoyance rather than address the issue as they should be doing as they are being paid by taxpayers, it is easier to "ban" something so that they can spend the whole day on a coffee break instead of working. This country is screwed.... it does not matter WHAT party is in power we have too much dead wood with no passion earning salaries that are not deserved and professing to be experts in their fields - an ABSOLUTE disgrace and as normal us Aussie just accept the outcomes.... time is coming to revolt and fight for rights that are justifieably ours....... it is NOT about the noise as the noise is not an issue at all, never will be never has been, the vertical watersport attachments are beyond the intelligence of the people that have the right by default to cross the box out because it is easier than actually addressing a non existing issue..... We only have so much resources to mine, we cannot produce because we are too expensive so go ahead you idiots and trash tourism as well, the one part of being Australian that could keep the economy ticking over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You people with the power to make a decision without due consultation and justification just to make something go away so that you can have an easier life on public and taxpayer salaries should be sued and brought to justice.
