The silence from the planning office is persistent but that only means we have to keep pushing harder. I have spent the last few days meeting with local groups who agree that Fort Regent is rotting away while a rink could bring life back to the space.

Seeing this momentum gather is exhausting but it keeps me fueled to see the path forward. People are finally looking at that empty space and seeing a future instead of rot.

Fort Regent has been a dump for years. Fix it up and give the kids something to actually do on this island.
waste of a building atm. turn it into something useful for once.
It would be amazing to have hockey back on the island. Bring it on!

so many memories of that place. be nice to see life brought back to the fort instead of letting it rot.
