Tommy James & The Shondells deserve entrance in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. With a history that has spanned over 40 years, Tommy James has been a success in the pop, garage rock, party rock, psychedelic, glam and adult contemporary genres. He headed the first pop/rock band to cross over and record the highly acclaimed "My Head, My Bed & My Red Guitar" country lp. Tommy James was the pioneer of country pop/rock. TJ & the Shondells introduced the Moog Synthesizer to rock music in 1969. Today, Tommy continues to record new music, author a book on the Music industry and work on a film from his autobiography. At the height of their popularity they outsold all other bands (including the Beatles) in sales of singles in 1968 & 1969. Then, Tommy put together a successful solo career. Hundreds of artists have covered his music. Only once in music history has an artist had remakes of his songs hold the #1 & #2 position on Billboards Charts simultaneously . That honor belongs to Tommy James. Perhaps, the most underrated rock band of all time will receive their just reward.

This is one of the great bands that helped to shhape my musical taste, starting at the age of 6 years old when I first heard the Beatles. Tommy and friends were among those I grew up listening to and still enjoy thier music to this day, some 45 years later!

They belong in the Hall. It's a travesty that they're not.

I met the band 8/25/79 Lynn, MA. They rocked and were gratuitous! They should be in the R & R Hall.

About time these guys get in. Crimson and Clover is a masterpiece and theyve been overlooked for way too long. Long overdue!

It can't be a Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame without Tommy James & The Shondells.
