Overgrowth benefits nobody. Cutting trees, increased flooding, impaired roads, gridlock traffic, issues with evacuation in emergencies, over crowded schools, lack of quality education, loss of greenspace, loss of quality green space and parks for kids to play, poor growth management, loss of aesthetic value.... stop!!! Stop now and start with a PLAN! Who is benefitting from all these apartments? JAMES ISLANDERS AREN'T!

Please manage growth in a responsible and sustainable way! Please consider a moritorium as a way to allow the time required to plan appropriately for the future of our fair city.

I'm not anti growth., but enough high density housing & sky rocketing rents ~ Let's take control of this and create some sustainable infrastructure and support LOCAL businesses and an AWESOME quality of life at the same time.

No new developments should be approved withou accompanying traffic studies and environmental impact studies. The zoning of property should reflect the intended use of the property as determined by city planners only after public hearings have been held. Consideration should be given to the overall development needs of the island. Zoning should be used as a tool to attract development which will compliment and enhance the lives of island residents.
