We need to slow down the growth in our island community. Reducing the number and size of apartment projects is an excellent place to start.

approving 700 + appartments to be built in addition to what is already here screams of greed. Those who make those decisions need to be recognized at voting time!!!

Constructing dense multifamily housing before building the necessary infrastructure is a mistake that has be made and regretted many times before. Let us, please learn from the mistakes of others.

Born and raised on James Island, I am 23 years old and have watched Ji traffic and development rise exponentially in the last 7 years since I started driving. It's absurd and we need to preserve this island and not let it become a Myrtle Beach

No More Apartments, Condos, retirement homes Hotels or cookie cutter housing developments. The infrastructure cannot support the volume of traffic as it is now. And this is not even including the Folly Beach Summer Traffic...

I cannot see how out community can handle any more traffic. Folly Rd is a rush hour all day now. Please stop allowing apartment houses to be built on the island.

I have mentioned to visitors whenever they come that this place is "blowing up." I used to mean that it is becoming more desirable to live here, but now I mean that it is exploding like a time bomb and degrading everything around it. Every time I take a drive to the beach, the park, a soccer field I see another swath of land being toppled. The oak trees which have been a symbol of this area are being replaced by too much construction seemingly propelled by a few individuals' self-interest. To put up more apartments in one of the most congested areas on all of J.I. (getting off of the Connector onto Folly Rd.) is ridiculous. I used to feel bad for those people on John's Island and what is happening on their approach to the bridge on Maybank with that construction which seemed poorly planned/thought out, now I'm appalled that it could happen on that little area of land where we used to take our family for a nearby, relatively inexpensive night out.

Please stop the high density building on James Island. We are over-populated and our roads cannot stand the daily traffic. We need to slow down and reconsider infrastructure and schools.

Please no more apartments or high density housing on James Island. Enough is enough. This town is imploding as it is.

We need a plan to guide future growth and a moratorium until we do!

Condos turn into slums because there is no land sold with them, and the construction is quick and shoddy!

Please stop developing high density communities on James island and allow us time to plan for responsible measured growth!!!!!
