It seems as though development in the way of multifamily residential housing is no longer responsible on the island. Our infrastructure is currently heavily taxed and continuing to develop at this rate will only increase the issues exponentially.

There are too many housing units on James Island now. Please don't add to the congestion and traffic by allowing the construction of more apartments or house developments

Stop building on James Island - traffic is ridiculous. it takes 1/2 hour to get from the connector down to battery island on a normal day. During the summer or any major event on Folly traffic gets backed up for hours along with the back streets to try and get home. Until a solid infrastructure plan is created and approved there needs to be a moratorium on additional residential buildings and apartments. Don't ruin JI and make it more of a traffic nightmare than it already is. if I wanted to live in Mt Pleasant and deal with this I would have moved there.

Please save this amazing island! The quality of life for everyone here will be cut down drastically! Neighborhoods are one thing but these giant apartment complexes are just too much!!

I am a lifelong resident of James Island and I plead that there be a moratorium on new plans and/or construction of multi family units for the entire James Island area. More studies need to be done to determine infrastructure needs before additional increase of population. Anne Patterson

JI has been my home for 40 years. I expect growth over time, but the rapid addition of large apartment complexes on the island is out of sync with what any community would consider to be normal. Our little island and aging infrastructure cannot handle more at this time!
