We the undersigned would like the JAHA Board to set a skill level of A and B for the Tier 40 league and rename the tier as 'Masters'. Players must have previously played sometime during JAHA at the A or B level and be 40 or over. It is desired that this occurs for the 2017/2018 season.
Many of us no longer enjoy playing this tier or have left JAHA when it was made a mixed skill level. By setting a skill level requirement of A-B, we would be much more likely to play in this tier rather than find alternative non-JAHA opportunities to play.

I think this just pushes the problem of displacing players to the other end of the skill distribution as it will displace anyone over 40 who doesn't want to play in the reckless chaos that is C tier. If there are enough people who sign up, it seems like splitting 40+ into 2 tiers might be a better option.
Agreed and JAHA is setting up the D tier for autumn 2017.

Regarding the requirements I would say within reason (A or B). The goal is to have players on the ice that actually contribute to the play. The skill differential on 40+ has become so extreme these last several years that it doesn't benefit the lower end or the higher end player. Need to get back to a consistent level of play.
