I am a Jackson city resident and strongly oppose this proposed rezoning.

I do not agree that an apartment complex be placed in lots in the corner of HWY D and Independence.

I work at Jackson Middle School and I feel there is already more traffic in that area than safe for the number of students walking home in that area. Students cross the streets of Broadridge and Independence to get home. I also live about a mile from the land in question and I do not want a set of apartments built that close to my neighborhood. I take great pride in my property and its value. My fear is adding apartments of this nature will not help increase of value, but hurt the value of our homes. Please consider voting no to rezone the land. I build with understanding that the land would be developed in a way to maintain the surrounding established neighborhoods.

I wish we could’ve stopped those apartments from being built right next to Orchard!

I support the growth of Jackson and support the Jackson Schools but I live in that horrible mess ( built my house before the school ) and before you say yes.... try to drive thru there 9 months out of the year ....you will agree with me and say NO... we don't need anymore congestion over here !!

Traffic on Independence Street is horrible as it is and adding an apartment complex at this location with only make it worse. This would impact the safety of drivers as well as the safety of children walking after school.
