Subject: ISG management to withdraw the unjustified Fees hike
Dear Board of Directors / Principal,
We would like to draw your attention to the recent circular regarding the School fees. The increase in overall fee is unjustifiable, given the impact of corona virus and especially the lock down and quarantine measures have severely disrupted the income of the public in general, and most of the parents are finding it very difficult to pay the fees.
In addition, with the ongoing restrictions from Ministry on the school closure and covid-19 protocols children will not be attending the school physically in the foreseeable future, and the current distance learning is going to continue. We appreciate the efforts made by the Teachers and the Management to conduct online classes but the main purpose of going to your esteemed school is unfulfilled. This in turn, have become a part-time home schooling for all the children which imposed additional burden on all families who are already hit by the downturn.
In this situation the school should actually reduce the fees considering that the only expense incurred is to pay the faculty, and supporting staff. Currently you are not incurring any additional expense with regards to electricity, water, stationary or any other miscellaneous or maintenance expenses.
We are really surprised to see the tuition fee hike in the circular dated 26/4/2021 and specially the additional fees like stationery, Insurance, examination and term fee is completely unjustifiable and unacceptable, as none of these are actual expenses incurred by School in the current online learning scenario.
In consideration of this pandemic induced situation, we seek your support in continuing the concession in tuition fee given in 2020 and suspend all the additional fees and provide an option to pay the fee on a monthly basis until the pandemic is over and regular classes starts.
We look forward for your positive reply
Sincerely Yours,
Parents of ISG Students.
