We demand that the City of Ironwood addresses the problems of filthy unusable municipal water and the outrageous residential water deposits ($550); exorbitant water rates (especially the excessive $70.90 minimum charge); prohibitive reconnect fees ($150 summer & $300 winter); and the usurious 10% late fee charged if the bill is paid even an hour late. Our municipal water supply is regularly so tainted that it unusable for any purpose -- the sludge that is found in our water has been damaging hot water tanks; washing machines; boilers; ice machines; and dishwashers throughout the city. The Ironwood water customers, residents, businessmen and taxpayers deserve better. Flint would turn their noses up at our water!

This has been an ongoing problem for a very long time and needs to get fixed. I go to Bessemer once a week to fill up tons of water jugs at the spring because of how bad our water is. I wont even give to my animals it’s so bad at times.
Not having clean, safe municipal drinking water in 2019 is an absolute embarrassment, and the height of incompetence. Why should my tax dollars pay people who dont take me, and my childrens safety seriously?
High water prices for water that is unusable, we have to buy water for drinking, our laundry is destroyed. This water is worse than something from a 3rd world country! LAZY Useless Water company! We BEG for water that is clear! not to forget our childrens teeth are even turning brown!
My husband and I live on a fixed income and even though we drink bottled water, got new low flow toilets, we don’t have a washing machine or a dishwasher, our bill went up $25 this month and $20 the month before. Our bill is now 13% of our monthly income.
I do not use the water for cooking or drinking. I do not buy white clothes as you cannot keep them white with Ironwood’s water. I scrub my toilets daily as the stains from the water are streaked down the porcelain. With the price of water in this town I would think it would be drinkable
My wife and I here four months ago. We are unable to drink the water and have decided to move away. Ironwood will never prosper with the way local gov't mismanages.
Shame on you City Commissioners. Shame on you. Vote them out.

How many people in iron range have parkinson's tremors...have hair analysis for heavy metals ..proved my husband is severely manganese toxic..look on Purdue University website for Dr Wei Zheng's study on manganese induced Parkinsonism ..its in our water I had it tested at a lab.
