My wife and I here four months ago. We are unable to drink the water and have decided to move away. Ironwood will never prosper with the way local gov't mismanages.

No more brown water. People in Nevada have cheaper and cleaner drinking water.

The water problems and prices in Ironwood Michigan are a disgrace! Not only should they fix the issue at no cost to the residents but they should send a check for all the years the residents have overpaid for it! Start firing! Start at the top and work your way down. Let’s talk about the probable health issues and cost too.

We moved from Ironwood about 5-6 years ago. We come back frequently to visit. The one thing we always have to do is buy bottled water. It's very sad that the people living here have to pay such am outrageous rate for water they cannot drink! The water has turned our white shower curtain in the hotel room brown. I guess the health and well being the entire town is the last thing on the citys mind.

Not having clean, safe municipal drinking water in 2019 is an absolute embarrassment, and the height of incompetence. Why should my tax dollars pay people who dont take me, and my childrens safety seriously?

This Year When The Hydrants Was Flushed, Something Went Very Wrong... Example 1 Area One Had Large Chunks Of Metals, And Was Black... Full Water Force Was Used For Greater Then Seven Hours... In Area -Two The Backwash From Area 1 Crossed Paths Causing Discolored Water.... Example -3 When The Hydrant Was Flushed On Hill Street For Area Two... The Water Was Jet Black, The Water Was Put In A Pure White Bucket, I Discovered That Not Only Was The Water Containing Excessive Amounts Of Air (Most Likely A Broken Water New Water Main) But The Water Was Dumped Into The Toilet, Upon Which Time I Seen An Oily Residue Left On The Bottom... This Was The First Time I Ever Seen Oil Sink To The Bottom Of The Water.... Full Throttle Water Flushing Was Done, This Lasted For Over Nine Hours....

I lived and worked in Ironwood from 2013-2016. It was frustrating having to choose between washing your self, your child, your dishes in odorous sediment-rich water that stained the tub and letting things stay dirty (assuming they would be cleaner without trying to wash them). I never felt safe using the water for drinking and the times I did drink it, it always tasted different. As for work, I cleaned at a hotel, and the biggest complaint we had was the water quality. People pay good money to come up here on vacation and family doings, to be met with brown water. Of course, it wasn't just at the hotel I worked in, it is a city-wide issue.
