Your Excellency, The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei Your Excellency, Minister of the Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sadegh Mahsouli Your Excellency, Head of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi Your Excellency, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Poland Hadi Farajvand As the signatories of the following petition we represent the interest of no state or organization. We form a group of citizens motivated by the strong sense of objection to the state of affairs in Iran. It is since last week that we have been watching post electoral protests in Iranian cities. We are strongly concerned with the fact that those demonstrations have met with brutal response of the authorities. According to the belief that peaceful demonstrations may not be treated with forceful acts, we demand that Iranian authorities: - Will restrain from violent acts against peaceful demonstrations; - will release the imprisoned, who are being held only for their political believes or involvement in the protests; - will allow both Iranian and international media to report on the events with no restrictions. - will stop restricting the Iranians’ access to mobile telephony and media, especially to the Internet; - will verify the reports on falsifying the elections in an unbiased manner. We demand from Iranian authorities to respect the human rights i.e. the right to assembly, freedom of speech, access to information and to cease the repressions against their own citizens. --------- Wasza Excelencjo, Przywódco Islamskiej Republiki Iranu Ajatollah Sajjed Ali Chamenei Wasza Excelencjo, Ministerze Spraw Wewnętrznych Islamskiej Republiki Iranu Sadegh Mahsouli Wasza Excelencjo, Zwierzchniku Sądownictwa Islamskiej Republiki Iranu Ajatollah Mahmoud Haszemi Szahroudi Wasza Excelencjo, Ambasadorze Islamskiej Republiki Iranu w Polsce Hadi Faradżwand (Hadi Farajvand) My, niżej podpisani, nie występujemy w imieniu władz żadnego państwa, ani organizacji.

I never thought this would reach one hundred people when I wrote those first few lines. It is honestly overwhelming to see so many of you standing together on this issue. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took the time to read and sign.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed that two hundred and fifty people have put their names to this. It is quite humbling to see so many of you standing together when I only started this on a whim. This momentum belongs entirely to you.

My heart breaks for the people in Iran. No one deserves to be arrested just for having a different opinion.

Total madness. Why are they afraid of media coverage if everything is so perfect there? Release the prisoners!

This is just sad to watch. People just want their votes to count for something. Stop hurting them for speaking up.
