The feedback I have received from neighbors highlights a shared concern about the long term impact of the Bruni development on our town character. I am currently organizing the documentation to ensure our position is presented clearly when we engage with the Board of Selectmen.

Scale, proportion and suitable materials are the hallmarks of good architecture. This development is huge, unattractive and inappropriate to the site and to the town. Yes, 40B is the law of the land but the surrounding towns would never approve something like this. Why does Ipswich always carry the burden?
We have a son who will be eligible for a Section 8 housing voucher this year (affordable housing), but I still oppose this development for the reasons stated previously. The need for affordable housing in a community should not trump all other issues to the detriment of the entire community.
I am against the 40B development at Bruni's. Ipswich needs affordable housing, but this is not affordable housing. And the plan takes no account of the desperate water and drainage situation.
With a new brewery being built, the new Y pool AND another brewery in town already would we have enough water for ALL with the new monstrosity of homes? We barely had enough last summer to survive extreme drought!! Also huge influx of new students at schools, are we equipped for this?
This is too big of a project for the proposed area. Will definitely impact the town feel and push it away from the goals in the Ipswich bylaws. It is also a big environmental concern for the big water demand it will bring, sewage, light and sound pollution.
This is a disastrous project - I’m so very sad for my town
The Bruni project is irresponsible and threatens the way of life of all current and future residents of this great town.

We need affordable housing, not a housing project from the 1950s. Those projects didn't work then and won't now. No supportive services, no small shops, no groceries, no foot traffic, no public transportation, no community. No community spaces.
