This is not helpful to the sport at all, me being in a 3rd world country cannot afford the specific brands that they approved!

The name on the belt or who made it should have nothing to do with whether it should be able to be used in an IPF competition. Requiring money to be paid to be put onto an approved list is just complete nonsense. Measure the belts and approve them if they meet the correct size allowed, but money should never have to pass between hands for a person to use his or her equipment to compete.

If u approve inzer then u should approve bobs belts. I have used both needless to say I still own bobs belt.

This is ridiculous. Equipment that meets spec should be allowed. Not just approved based on who's giving you money.

Reverse the decision to add belts and singlets to the approved list.

crazy, I am a USAPL member & certified Sr. National Coach, I called USAPL & said it was a rediclious rule. Basically they approved any product supplier who paid them 4 G regardless of quality. most belts, (not all), on the list are inferior products and poor quality. I was also told that IPF would only require listed gear at World meets and world record attempts. they weren't completely clear on it..I was also told I could use my none listed gear at local, state, & National meets that were USAPL / IPF sanctioned. That's what was explained to me by the USAPL Florida Rep.

absolutely absurd, leather is leather for christs sake. given the belt falls into the thickness and width criteria it should not matter...I do own belts by approved brands but they are inferior in quality as to my main belt. under no circumstance will I consider competing in the ipf/usapl due to this abortion of a rule.

This was a stupid rule to begin with. Clearly, this rule was instated as a means to fuel whatever greed the IPF's "higher ups" need satiated.

Bob's Belts are Amazing... Everyone should be able to wear them. At no extra cost from the ipf for anyone.

I have had my belt for years, and I've competed in it many times. It's special to me. To take this belt away - even though it meets all specs and requirements - is a selfish action of the IPF. This greed will have a negative implication for lifting, and I for one don't think it's the moral thing to do.
