Пишуть до Вас студенти українських навчальних закладів, незалежно від конфесії, релігії, етнічного походження та будь-яких інших ознак. Маємо надію, що в нинішню добу комунікації лист дістанеться до Вас без проблем.
Ми не професійні богослови, щоб фахово оцінити Декларацію, підписану Вами спільно з Патріархом Московським у Гавані. Проте ми відчули, що Вам треба краще пізнати Україну. Тому й визріло просте рішення: запросити Вас відвідати її. Найкраща «Вікіпедія» – це людські серця, а ми готові їх перед Вами розкрити.
Наше покоління, що мріяло про щасливе життя в мирі і благоденстві, опинилося раптом посеред війни, ініційованої Російською Федерацією. Військові аналітики можуть називати цю війну гібридною – начебто її нема. Але смерть не буває гібридною: ми щодня втрачаємо друзів, втрачаємо молоді життя.
Найкращий шлях до миру – це діалог: кому краще це зрозуміти, як не нам? Але як його розпочати, коли ми є об’єктами щоденної агресії з боку підконтрольних Росії сил? Як примиритися з нападником, коли умовою миру він висуває зречення нашої ідентичності? Чи можна захистити мир, підкоряючись цінностям, які загрожують усій людській цивілізації?
Напевно, на нашому місці Ісус сьогодні спитав би: «Що таке – мир?».
Ваша Святосте! В наших очах, як і очах усього світу, Ви – людина Божої правди, яка не знає лукавства. Ви, як і ми, спраглі щирості й чистоти. Тому Ви маєте зрозуміти нас: ми не хочемо спиратися на тих, хто лукавить, бо вони, як та ісаївська поламана очеретина, «увійдуть у долоню нашу і продірявлять її» (пор. Іс 36:6).
Ми шукаємо пронизливої правди, в якій упізнаємо і Христа, і Його Церкву. Таку Церкву ми бачили недавно на Майдані – Церкву без політики й лукавства; Церкву, яка молилася і свідчила, відкривала свої брами перед страждущими; була мужня й відважна, як усі мученики.
Ваша Святосте! Ми просимо Вас: допоможіть нам утвердитись у вірі, що добро таки переможе! Приїдьте до нас в Україну і помоліться з нами, щоб мир повернувся на нашу землю. Щоб із цим миром прийшов Святий Дух, який «все очищає від скверни». Щоб на землю нашу зійшло благословення Боже!

Students of Ukrainian higher education institutions are writing to you, regardless of their denomination, religion, ethnic background, or any other attributes. We hope that in today’s age of communications this letter will reach you with no problem.
We are not professional theologians who as experts can evaluate the Declaration signed by Your Holiness and the Patriarch of Moscow in Havana. However, we feel that you need to get to know Ukraine better. So an easy proposal emerged: to invite You to visit us. The best 'Wikipedia' is human hearts, and we are ready to open them to Your Holiness.
Our generation, which dreamed of a happy life in peace and prosperity, suddenly finds itself in the middle of a war initiated by the Russian Federation. Military analysts can call this war hybrid as if there is no real war. But death does not come 'hybrid': every day we are losing our friends, young people are losing their lives.
The best path to peace is dialogue: Who understands this better than we do? But how to start it when we are the objects of daily aggression on the part of forces under the control of Russia? How to reconcile with an aggressor when, as a condition of peace, he demands the renunciation of our identity? Is it possible to maintain peace, submitting to values which threaten all human civilization?
Certainly in our place Jesus today would ask: 'What is peace?'
Your Holiness! In our eyes, and in the eyes of the whole world, You are a person of God’s truth who does not know deceit. You, and we also, are longing for sincerity and purity. And so You should understand us: We do not want to depend on those who are deceitful, because they, like the broken reed of Isaiah, 'pierce the hand of anyone who leans on it' (see Isaiah 36:6).
We are looking for penetrating truth in which we can recognize both Christ and His Church. We saw this Church not long ago on the Maidan, a Church without politics and hypocrisy: a Church which prayed and witnessed, which opened its gates to those who suffer; it was brave and courageous, like all martyrs.
Your Holiness! We beseech you: Help us grow and get strengthened in our faith that the good will triumph! Come visit us in Ukraine and pray with us so that peace returns to our land. So that with this peace comes the Holy Spirit, Who “cleanses everything from filth.” So that God’s blessing is poured on our land.

Your Holiness, Pope Francis, The people of Ukraine deserve to live in a democratic country, free from corruption and greed, proud of their history, language and culture. Ukrainians are devout Christians , praying and fighting for their freedom. Please visit Ukraine and support Ukrainians in their prayers for a peaceful & quick end to this war .
There is a huge Ukrainian Catholic community in Ukraine and abroad. His Holiness is very important to them, I can only pray that he listens to his flock and not just the Russian Orthodox Church. I pray that His Holiness, the Pope does not abandon the people of Ukraine.

This pope is unfortunately more interested in appeasing our enemies than in supporting and acknowledging the immense sacrifices the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church had undergone in defending the faith and values that the Vatican claims to uphold.
