We all know living in the mountains is expensive but have you ever wondered why ALL the gas stations in Truckee consistently have some of the highest gas prices in the state? Ever wonder why they are more expensive than surrounding mountain communities like South Lake, Sierraville, Quincy etc? Have you ever wondered why they all raise their prices the same amount at almost exactly the same time?
Help me solve this riddle by signing this petition and sharing it with your friends and family who live here in Truckee. My goal is to get 5000 signatures and engage the State of California's Attorney General to invesitgate possible anti trust violations.

The gas station owners in this town are sweating because they know we are onto their scheme. This momentum proves that Truckee is finally sick of the blatant price fixing happening at every pump.

Moved to Truckee in 1994....Truckee has always been higher. Just visited family in Oakley,and was $2.85/gallon. Sam's Club in Roseville is always cheaper. Costco and Sam's in Reno much cheaper than Truckee. Why? Because we're a captive audience?
Cox family stores in particular continually have the highest prices in the region. Even South Lake Tahoe has cheaper gas than we do. Rural designation has nothing to do with it.
I go to Reno to fill up. The higher than normal gas prices in Truckee have gotten ridiculous. How about a local’s discount???
let's get this checked out... it's always seemed fishy to me how much more we pay.
Truckee gas mafia needs to go down. Clear cut case of price fixing which is illegal.
It's a God damn travesty that the gas stations in this town can price fix high prices with no oversight by the state

Gas has always been ridiculous in Truckee. I feel like an idiot when I fuel up in town, especially when I know Reno is consistently $1/gal cheaper. It incentivizes me to go spend my money in Reno and not where I live in Truckee.
