I have personally struggled with differentiating between my uncles on my mother's and father's side in the English language. This is a problem that many others also face, not just in Egypt or Slough, UK, but globally. The current English language does not provide specific terms to distinguish between uncles from different sides of the family. This can lead to confusion and misunderstandings within family conversations and narratives.
To resolve this issue, I propose introducing two new words into the English language - "Muncle" for an uncle on one's mother's side and "Funcle" for an uncle on one's father's side. These terms would bring clarity to familial relationships, making it easier for everyone to communicate their family ties accurately.
The Oxford English Dictionary adds approximately 1,000 new entries each year (source: OED), so adding these two words would be a minor change statistically but could have a significant impact on clear communication about family relationships.
