Introduce CCTV and/or railings in the dangerous areas of York such as Lendall Bridge and around Ouse River

A mothers worst fear was realised this week when it was confirmed her beautiful daughter had accidentally fallen into the river and drowned. If this petition means that CCTV or barriers at points of danger could have the slightest chance to stop this happening again then it must be heard and implemented. Speaking as a mother with a daughter attending York St. John's I would hope that the council is on board to help prevent these tragedy s from keep happening in this city.

Please help prevent another tragedy like this happening again. CCTV is just a small price to pay and could end up saving lives in the future.

Barriers at the most dangerous points has got to be a good use of public money

dont know why this hasnt already been done as there are no railings anywhere round the rivers! Its a very dangerous place especially with the recent weather.
