This is happening too often. More cameras along the rivers in the city should be considered as a priority.

The river walk is the most dangerous part of York on a night

All rivers need to be covered in York including the Foss. The only camera covering the Foss is on the junction of Layerthorpe and so misses covering the river at key points. CCTV on the sainsburys roundabout is seriously needed. Also along the edge of Sainsburys car park. The bushes there are used by homeless people to shelter and this route is not always pleasant to walk down after dark.

I back more CCTV cameras by the River Ouse. I'm surprised City of York Council don't have the intelligence to take a pro-active approach.

This would be a great safety aid and help find people in trouble. Great idea!

This would be very helpful to the York community and be vital in aiding situations such as people falling into the Ouse. The Megan Roberts story was a tragedy and something like this would be brilliant to help prevent such accidents from happening in the future.

It's awful that it takes something so dreadful to happen before they will consider putting things in place that should've been there years ago!
