HELP SAVE THE INTEGRITY OF OUR WEST SHORE NEIGHBOURHOOD!!
We need your help to stop the rebuild of the house at 781 Oliva Street.
The Committee of Adjustments has approved what they are calling “minor variances” to this property. While this may be true on paper, the building they have approved is in fact, a 4000 square foot home on a street that the average house is 1100 square feet. That is almost 4 times the size!!
There are two story houses on this street, but none more than 2000 square feet.
We don’t want this house to set the new standard of this street and community.
We know that change is inevitable, and we know that some of these older homes do need upgrading, but let’s not change the design of our West Shore neighborhood and allow multi family dwellings.
Please show your support by signing this petition so we can bring this forward in our formal appeal with the LPAT (Local Planning Appeal Tribunal).
A quote from Barbara Mikulski holds true: “Each one of us can make a difference. Together we make change”.
Let’s stop this house from being built before the same thing happens to the house beside or in front of you.
