Immediate Call for Action for Federal Authorities to guarantee Special Education For our Children in Puerto Rico
Special Need children in Puerto Rico have been suffering from civil and human violations for decades. In fact there is class action suit that has not been resolved in 34 years. Things are getting worse by the second. For example, this year many of our children could not even attend school because local officials did not even hire teachers, paraprofessionals and many other things we Parents know our children need. Families are viewed as enemy of the state and the System keeps deteriorating despite billions of dollars sent by the federal government for our children. We NEED help. Please sign the petition and maybe someone out there will listen to our desperate call for action. Sign and share!! Most of our children are still non verbal. Please let their voices be heard. Accountability, Justice, Equity now!

Reaching 250 signatures is a heavy acknowledgment of the pain we have lived with for too long. It is exhausting to keep fighting a system that ignores our existence but these names prove we are not fighting alone.

Reaching this point feels heavy because the neglect our children face is still happening every single day. I am exhausted by the constant fighting but seeing this momentum proves that people are finally starting to look at what is happening here.

Mi hijo necesita sus terapias y acomodos por sus condiciones. Sí se los quitan, ¿Qué será de su futuro?
Al dia de hoy no tengo redactado ni el PEI de mi hijo ademas que le deben evaluaciones para hacerle.
Necesitamos que nuestros hijos reciban unos servicios apropiados y que que puedan satisfacer sus necesidades. Igualdad de derechos !!!
For the DEpartment of Education on PR the Special Education in not and it never be a priority, for them is more importatn pay political favor that get the money to the classroom and to the childrenn in need...
Aclu de Puerto Rico debería ser una de las agencias para hacer valer a nivel federal los derechos humanos y civiles de nuestros hijos. Pero dicen que no por estar de escasos recursos.
We shouldn’t be fighting for our rights... it’s a service our children need.

We need actions for better opportunities by our children's. Federal government need take action for the auditory of the funds received by the Education department.
