The town of Killington has put forth a plan to redesign their recreation center on River Road. The plan does not currently include a skateboard park, mainly because there hasn't been enough public demand for this element. This plan is designed to bring the Rec center into modern day, and last for the next 50 years. By signing this petition, you are advocating for a skateboard park to be included. I honestly started this just hoping for a few neighbors to agree with me about the skatepark. It is becoming clear that so many of you feel the same way about our town center and I am truly humbled by the response.

A skate park would not only further encourage outdoor recreation, but would open the doors to skate coaching/classes, as well as skate camps for summer and school vacations. Let's support our local skate shops with a park!
Dark side is great but the flat ground spot needs a repave. Bring a skate park to killington would drum up business not just for Darkside skate park but all restaurants on the access road. I drive to Burlington to skate there and always do lunch and grab a beer. This is a must for killington.
Skateboarding is a great activity for people to partake in when they don’t have the means to buy an expensive mountain bike but want to be involved in action sports in spring/summer/fall. Please add this to the rec center plans.
This would truly be a great addition for the community. So many of us snowboarders (and skiers) love to skateboard in the off season. Please consider adding a skatepark to the plan!!!! Darkside mini ramp is pretty much the only thing to skate for miles!
As a former employee of Killington parks and recreation and an active member of the community I agree that Killington’s residents and visitors would make great use of a public skatepark.
It’s been over a year, the town of killington doesn’t have the fun(ds). Let’s make this happen!
This needs to be done not enough park around the area and it's very close to rutland keeping kids aways from drugs and on the montain

The main reason I go to Sunday River and not Killington is because of a nearby skate park. I prefer to ride at Killington, but I have to weigh out the overall trip, which ideally includes skateboarding. The halfpipe at Darkside shop is great (one of the best), but it's not enough.
