Unfortunately, the flower shop at the start of Shad Thames, Igloo, has been forced to close by the council. The Council have revoked our license because they believe our flowers are an obstruction. As you will know our flowers on the path are a part of the architecture of our little community. We are proud that we help enhance the area and provide a friendly service to local residents and businesses a like. We have been in Shad Thames for the past decade and we want to remain, however we need your help to change the councilâ

The council claims these flowers are an obstruction but our streets have never felt more like a community. Call your local representative today and tell them that Igloo belongs on this corner. Post a photo of your favorite arrangement on Facebook to show them what they are threatening to take away.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and the council is finally taking notice. Now is the time to turn this pressure into a victory so please email your local representative and demand they renew the license for Igloo.

This shop is the highlight of the street. Whoever decided this was an obstruction clearly never walks down here. Keep them open!

Ridiculous. Igloo has been there forever and brings so much life to the area. Stop picking on small businesses.

Such a shame. This area will be soulless without them.

it is just a bunch of flowers not a giant wall. so typical of the council to ruin a nice thing for no reason.
