All over England, students educations are at risk because of uniform policies. School are meant to teach and support us, not discriminate and punish unfairly. Hair colours, hairstyles & piercings are NOT a distraction from school. The punishment for these things are worse for our education, than the actual bad action the student did, as we don't get chance to learn. It especially is not right when teachers are allowed a lot of leeway in their uniform policies, I'm not asking for all uniform to be removed, I just want everyone to have freedom and be able to express themselves and be unique.

I absolutley agree , as a parent I understand the need to uphold the school uniform BUT every person is unique and as such should be able to choose how they stand out , hair colour should NOT be cause to remove a child from class and keep them segregated , THAT segregation is detrimental to their school work .

Punishing pupils for their hair colour is a little drastic, the education system claims to teach children to be individual. I suppose its true as long as they all look, dress and act the same. School uniforms are in my opinion a good idea, but to seclude a child due to her hair colour is unacceptable
