We don' think there should be another trial. The jury spoke.

After viewing the police video of him charging Officer Kerrick the shooting was justified. You do not attack police officers

Justice has spoken with the 8-4 jury vote. The attorney general should call an end to this and not retry Officer Kerrick. Officer Kerrick should not have been put on trial in the first place. The Grand Jury did not indict Officer Kerrick. The attorney general should call an end to this trial and let Officer Kerrick get on with his life and let CMPD concentrate on their daily duties which are already dangerous and time consuming enough without the marches and demonstrations by protestors. Protestors have marched to softball games and the football game already trying to cause more confrontations with law abiding citizens. Kudos to CMPD for the awesome job they are doing!!!

Please do not retry and waste more money. If he would have stopped and listen to commands instead of running toward officers, he would still be here today!

This is a case of respect to Police officers. If he would of stood still and obeyed the officers commands, he would still be alive and it would of been a simple court case.

Please do not retry this case again as it shouldn't have gone to trial to begin with and wasted our tax payers money. And we shouldn't have paid the 2 plus million to the family but thanks to Rodney Monroe and our City Manager for giving away more tax payers money.

justice was served! How many times do we have to retry him. I feel bad they lost a child but how many trials do they want? It's done move on.

Kerrick was doing what he needed to do as a trained police officer.

I don't believe justice means trying a person until you get the verdict that one group wants especially to get their vote.

Justice was served in a court of law. No need for retrial. Drop it already

They keep saying Johnathan didn't have a weapon. He was a FOOTBALL player! His BODY was weapon enough!!!!

If he did what he was ask to do "get on the ground" he would still be here. I think the riots that are going on around Charlotte should be a window to the public as to what police officers have to tolerate on a daily basis.

Please do not put this innocent officer through anymore. He has been through one trial and he deserves his life back .

Officers who risk there lives to protect the public should not have their lives ruined because of doing there job. The man shot was trying to break in someone's home and charged a police officer. This is ridiculous how everything is turned into something racial!

His trial is over and I do not believe he should be tried again. The cost to the state is to much

He as doing his job. He was called out to a disturbance and she didn't drop the knife. It should not be made into a racial issue, she just happened to be black! Should it have been his family suffering the loss?
