I support Officer Kerrick and if anything, you need to try Rodney Monroe for his actions as well as any other city officials who hopped on the "politically correct" bandwagon for trying to throw Officer Kerrick under the bus. There was plenty of evidence that proved that he made the correct decision that night. And now you need to make the correct decision to NOT retry Officer Kerrick.

The evidence does not support the charges. The Kerrick family has suffered enough. It's a tragic situation for both families but officer Kerrick was just doing his job.

The guy charged the officer end of story all he had to do was stop and do what he was told had he done that it would have all been on camera of any wrong doing if the officer had planned on hurting him!!!

The whole situation could have been
avoided if Jonathan Ferrell obeyed
directions given to STOP running toward police. The problem today is no respect for Authority.

First and foremost, a Jury spoke but it erred in that it should have found Officer Kerrick's action legitimate and justified.
Also, it is near wrong to second guess a police office in the field (especially where PO acted in early morning hours pursuant to being dispatched to scene, homeowner who requests help from PD, large man running towards a P.O., a large man ostensibly shot with a stun gun, etc). No evidence that the PO intentionally desired to commit homicide; evidence suggest that he was protecting himself and others; finally, there are bad people out there an accidents happen.
Death of victim was very unfortunate but Officer Kerrick should not be imprisoned for a tragic mistake made in the heat of the moment and in the scope of employment.
