Absolutely no reason this should have gone to trial, this has been a farce. Keep this up and no one will want to be a law officer.

Officer Kerrick has been thru two grand Juries and on trial. That is enough. Had the man that was shot simply stopped when told to do so by the police, he would still be alive today. Enough is enough. Thank you.

Hopefully, you will have 10,000 signatures by EOD Wednesday, 8/26. Did Monroe throw Officer Kerrick under the bus because Kerrick was white and the Ferrell family and their attorney persuaded Monroe to not only to prematurely pay them millions of dollars and to also charge Officer Kerrick? Anyone with a healthy mental state would see that Officer Kerrick was protecting himself from a very large person who disobeyed police orders and was forcefully charging at the officer with the intent to do harm. Officer Kerrick was in fear for his LIFE and therefore, the shooting of Ferrell was justified, since that was the only way to stop him from overtaking the officer. The number of bullets is a moot point. The only fair decision for the public welfare is to NOT retry Officer Kerrick and order the people that have anger issues to go to mental health counseling. If the Ferrells and their T.H.U.G. followers would be helped greatly to deal with their anger through counseling and not loot or vandalize or harm the people of Charlotte. Screaming, yelling, rioting and publicly displaying rage, because a person(s) does not like something they wanted, never solved anything.

I urge the attorney general to peruse no more legal action against Officer Kerrick. It took 2 Grand Juries to get an indictment and the trial could not achive a verdict. This needs to stop so that our community can begin to heal.

Do not retry this case. This case should have never went to trial. A Grand Jury says no to a trial yet they proceed anyway? How convenient for Chief Monroe to have the officer arrested and then retire before the trial. He was useless anyway. Officer Kerrick did not violate the law, department policy or anyone's civil rights. I am SICK of hearing black lives matter. How racist to say only your lives matter. ALL LIVES MATTER. No wonder this country is going down the toilet. Not all tragedies are criminal in nature. Is it a tragedy that Ferrell is dead, sure. Did he die from any fault of Kerricks? NO. He died because he didn't listen and posed a threat to a police officer. Honestly the one who should be on trial here is Chief Monroe.

I have stayed up to date with the trail and believe as a police officer and not knowing his own fate he was within his rights of protecting his own life !

The evidence does not support the charge. It's a waste of taxpayer dollars to retry this case. Do not bow down to.the political pressure.

He was doing his job. The jury has spoken, there is no since in re-trial bc the family is not happy with the results.

This is a tragic situation for both families. But Officer Kerrick was doing his job and is innocent of the charges against him. This case should not be tried again!
