I Believe that the officer was doing his job when the suspect charged at the officer, armed or not it doe's not matter. You do not charge an officer with any thing good in mind, and that is all there is to it ! !

As a former prosecutor, I hope your office has the strength to do the right thing rather than be swayed by uninformed & bias protestors.

Not a single one of us can 100% say what we would do in his position. Responding to a B+E will get that adrenalin going, and he was previously reprimanded by supervision for an incident where he drew his taser instead of duty weapon. Standard protocol says in a multiple officer response that if one officer deploys less than lethal (i.e taser) than another should provide cover (weapon) I stand with Kerrick

It was an 8-4 vote to acquit. There are enough questions that are not settled by evidence; two police officers testified for Kerrick; the man who trained officer Campagna stated Kerrick DID follow policy.

Wes Kerrick should never have been on trial yet we witnessed the process of justice. The SBI and the first Grand Jury didn't find evidene of wrong doing. Please stop making this political and playing with a family's life. How many times do people/groups need to say NOT GUILTY for the AG and CMPD Chiefs to get the message

It's hard being a Police Officer today. It seems that people to day do not care much about the Police Officers life or the family that he leaves behind.

I have admired and supported Roy Cooper for along time. We shall have to wait and see if that support continues in the upcoming election run.

Put yourself on the other side of the dashcam video and try to feel what OFC Kerrick was feeling on scene.

Officer Kerrick had fractions of a second to make a decision to use deadly force. Both the previous police chief and the current police chief turned their backs on Officer Kerrick. The city of Charlotte paid a settlement with the Ferrell family. The news media has attempted to make this a racial motivated shooting. The news media has continued to not just report the news, but to make the news.

I do not feel there should be a re-trial
