It is always unfortunate when someone dies when interacting with police. Yes, there are incidences where some officers have used force when not necessary in our country. I don't believe this is the case with Officer Kerrick. If a citizen doesn't stop when an officer tells them to do so, its reasonable for the officer to believe his life may be in danger when the individual continues to run toward him after being warned multiple times. Officers have the right to protect their own lives in the line of duty. We need our police but recognize changes are needed, so let's keep the conversations going and make the changes -- not charge our good officers with criminal offenses for doing their job. I absolutely support Officer Kerrick.

T.H.U.G. Officer Kerrick was wrongfully charged by Rodney(coward) Monroe, who resigned before the trial. Terrible tragedy, but obey the laws and nothing happens. I am sick and tired of when things go wrong, you blame other people. It doesn't matter if he was black or white, it would have been same outcome if a white man charged at him. And not one person, except for that persons family would be upset.

Please don't waste more taxpayer money re-trying this case. No reasonable jury is going to convict Officer Kerrick.

I stand in support of OfficerKerrick and ask that there not be a retrial. He was in fear for his life and was doing his job in response to a call about someone trying to break into a house.

I do not feel that Officer Kerrick should be retried. It is sad that there was a death involved with this incident ... but ... if Ferrell was involved in an accident and "needed help, the the people that could've helped him were there. For some reason, he "Ferrell made decisions" that caused officer Kerrick to change many lives. He was thrown under the bus almost immediately for one reason. Please don't cave in to the politics.

First grand jury didn't find enough evidence to charge him to start with. So they got another grand jury. This doesn't seem right. York South Carolina had a black officer shot an elderly man that was not armed. I also stood behind the black officer. The elderly man was advised not to reach in the bed of his truck, which he did. The elderly man couldn't hear the officer, but the officer didn't know this. The elderly man was also shot several time. These officer want to go home after their shifts. God bless police officers

We expect PO's to protect us when we need them. When someone attacks them, we should expect him to be able to protect himself. Officer Kerrick was doing just that. He does not deserve to face another trial because it was self defense!

We should all appreciate the fact that Randall Kerrick was putting his life on the line and doing his job! He never should have had to go through a trial for his actions.

Police Officers have a difficult job to do, and if you choose to disobey their orders then other measures have to be taken! The orders are given to protect everyone involved and then it becomes about protecting themselves!
