I Support Officer Kerrick

I do solemnly believe , when officer kerrick testified that he was in fear for his own life while being charged by an unknown assailant that he was telling the truth , and that no other jury will be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that what he says is not the truth.

My daughter was an officer for 10 years with the city of Charlotte. She went to police academy with the officer being changed. My daughter is also married to an officer that has been on the Charlotte force for 25 years. Both have stated he was an excellent officer! They both have stated their disappointment with the way the city of Charlotte "abandoned a good officer". I hope and pray everyone will let him finally have a life

The system has spoken. 8 to 4. Officer Kerrick was justified in protecting himself. When an officer tells you to get on the ground, you don't try to bull rush them.

He did what any man would do if someone ran at the and was told to stop multiple times and would not stop teach your kids to obey the law and nothing like this would happen.

This officer was thrown under the bus from day one. He was trained to do what he did and according to the man that wrote the CMPD training Manuel reacted in compliance with what he was taught. We stand behind Officer Kerrick.

This officer has been through enough. This was self defense and he was only doing his job. HE IS INNOCENT! I'm praying for him and his family.

Please do not retry Officer Kerrick. There has already been a fair and impartial trial in which both the prosecution and defense presented their evidence. Afterwards, jurors deliberated very thoroughly for four days. They remained at impasse the entire time with eight to four for acquittal. It's extremely unfortunate that Mr. Ferrell lost his life, but all of the public protesting of the trial's outcome does not change the facts. Please let this trial stand as it is and let our community work on coming back together. The other option will only continue to divide us.

Do not retry this case. Officer Kerrick was doing his job! " Justice is a process, not a result" and a decision has been made! Charges should never have been brought against him in the first pace! ! Our police force puts their lives on the line every day. Jonathan Ferrell should have respected the law and followed the Officers commands to " stop" when told to! He did not and there lies the real problem!!!! In my opinion, this is political, not racial !! Why was Rodney Monroe so quick to throw Officer Kerrick under the bus? Why is he not being held accountable for his actions? Why is Monroe not being investigated ?? Interesting the timing of his "retirement" ! Why was the city so quick to settle the civil suit? The Charlotte community should be demanding answers to these questions ! There are many things that are wrong here but not with the result of the trial! This whole situation is a tragedy which could have been avoided if Ferrell had respected the command to stop! But what smells is the way the city of Charlotte handled the situation! If the Attorney General's office does anything, it should be investigating the City of Charlotte and the former police chief!!!

I support officer Kerrick. Officers have a hard job and have to make quick decisions. Sometimes when citizens do not do not do as instructed by an officer, they sould expect things to escalate and not pull race card when they are put in harms way. An officer has a right to defend himself while protecting and serving.
