I believe Officer Kerrick feared for his life and was justified in the shoot.

It is ashamed that a law enforcement doing his job the way he is trained, is treated this way by our elected officials... This is killing the moral for all law enforcement in this sate and is making the streets less safe for everyone.

8-4 for Not Guilty....Majority should show the AG that a new trial would not yield the outcome they have wanted, but was not warranted.

Officer Kerrick was thrown under the bus by the leadership who should have been supporting him.

I see no reason why this was even brought to trial in the first place ... it is clear that officer Kerrick was doing what he was trained to do while preforming the Job we pay him to do. Please do not waste anymore tax dollars pursuing this. Let Office Kerrick put back together what little is left of his life; I actually think that the DA's office should pay his salary until he can get his job back or find an one with equal pay. But you already know that he will not be able to find work for a long time .. please make sure he is paid for all the time you have taken away from him and his family ... such a travesty of justice that this has happened to him and his family. .. I do feel for Ferrell and his family but this was nothing more than bowing to the pressure of activist and a compleate wast of tax dollars.

I oppose the Attorney General's actions with Officer Kerrick. How much more will he be allowed to do to Officer Kerrick before the State of North Carolina recognizes this is more about the Attorney General's ego and less about the will of the people!!!

Our officers put their lives on the line every day, why are we crucifying them.

If people would just do as they are told by the Police, they would not be a problem. Get on the ground does not mean run to or from the Officer. Officer Kerrick did nothing wrong.

I was not in court, but what I saw from the realesed dash cam and based on the split of the jury. I believe a new trial would lead to another mistrial

Enough of the nonsense. If you do what the officer asks there would not be a problem. The problem is a lack of respect for rules and laws period.

I say no retrial as the officer did what he was trained to do he went to help that lady and he was only doing his job the black guy should never have ran toward the officer as had he not ran toward the officer then he would not got shot. The jury deadlock that was the verdict and there should not be another trial the officer has gone thru enough already no retrial let the justice system work this time

Due process was done with the trial and with a vote of 8 to 4, Officer Kerrick should not be retried.
