NO retrial. There never should have been a first trial. Rodney Monroe and the District Attorney's rush to judgement in this case should be on trial. Do Not waste anymore taxpayers dollars.

8-4 seems like a decision was made correctly. Majority rules.

Ferrell may have been a good person but he was not that night. People need to remember this, that it only takes one time and lives can be changed forever. Kerrick is innocent of wrong doing...but will have to live the rest of his life feeling the fear he had and the life that was taken.

Officer Kerrick does not need to be retried...He is innocent and needs to have his own life back. Officers need support not ruined by doing their jobs.

I wholeheartedly support Officer Kerrick. I do not want the Attorney General to waste taxpayer funds on a second trial as I believe Officer Kerrick is innocent.

Why did Farrell not just stop, tell police he wrecked his car & needed help...instead he CHOSE to charge at police. No respect.

Officer Kerrick was doing his job. Ferrell should have obeyed the officer's commands and not charged toward the officer.

If that had been a civilian then this might have been murder but Kerrick is a police officer and Farrell shouldn't have ran at him, case closed.

After the dash cam video and dna found the trial was over never ever run at the officer and just like all the other cases comply with the command the officer is giving you

The public and Mecklenburg taxpayers have suffered enough of this farce. The video proves the man was not obeying orders, and took his life in his own hands. CMPD leaders and Rodney Monroe should be ashamed for not standing up for their officers when deadly force is used. #HANDSUPDONTRUN

Officer Kerrick had every right to protect himself.
