I Support Officer Kerrick

I heard a man say the other day, after the trial, that justice is a process and not a verdict. Although I am very sorry for the loss the Ferrell family is feeling, the system worked. Two thirds of the jury determined "not guilty" after the defensive and state presented their cases and all their evidence to support their case. With my understanding of law the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty and 8 jurors, a majority, said they could not say guilty without a reasonable doubt. They system worked and justice as been done. The majority of the jurors said "not guilty". Officer Kerrick should NOT be tried again.

Please do not retry.

I see no reason why this was even brought to trial in the first place ... it is clear that officer Kerrick was doing what he was trained to do while preforming the Job we pay him to do. Please do not waste anymore tax dollars pursuing this. Let Office Kerrick put back together what little is left of his life; I actually think that the DA's office should pay his salary until he can get his job back or find an one with equal pay. But you already know that he will not be able to find work for a long time .. please make sure he is paid for all the time you have taken away from him and his family ... such a travesty of justice that this has happened to him and his family. .. I do feel for Ferrell and his family but this was nothing more than bowing to the pressure of activist and a compleate wast of tax dollars.

I support officer Kerrick. If someone comes charging at you and refuses to stop, you must protect yourself.

This officer would have been found not guilty if the trial had been moved out of Charlotte. Even with a local jury the count was 8-4 for acquittal. The city jumped the gun in settling for the 2.5 million prior to any trial or any proof of wrongdoing. If they are pressured to re-try, the venue should be changed in order for an impartial trial.

Police Backing of the city's they serve when they right and doing a job not many people want!

Policemen put their lives on the line every day they work. With the information he had that night he could have thought his life was .

Verdict in, Lets move on. He suffered enough

Mr. Ferrell displayed total disregard to authority and had he obeyed instructions by the officers he would not have been shot.

8 jurors also thought he was innocent. There's your reasonable doubt. The man has suffered enough. Time to put an end to this dog and pony show.

We need to support a man who was doing his job and his job is to protect all of the law abiding citizens not crazy animals like the one who attacked him.

I support Officer Kerrick's actions. He is a brave man for doing the job he does and he acted within his means of self preservation!!

Officers put their life on the line everyday. When he defended himself he should never have been charged. As an officer they never know what will happen.

I support our local police!

Leave Kerrick alone and charge the former Chief Monroe and his Command Staff with neglect of duty for their mishandling of this investigation.

One trial is enough, especially since it was 8-4 in his favor

I believe officer kerrick did not have another choice he was afraid for his life and did what he had to do.
