We as a people are and cannot judge what we have not seen or experienced ourselves. We each react differently in any given situation. Why is he being punished for doing his job-protecting himself and the people? Why didn't his fellow officers pull the young man off of him? Why was he not tased again while on the ground by the fellow officers? How do you know what you would have done? YOU DON'T and neither DO I. Just like WE do not know all the true facts of this case. A PERSON should not be punished for believing he may lose his life due to the contribution actions of another. All of this black against white NEEDS TO STOP!! People need to take accountability of their own actions and stop blaming someone else for their mistakes. Get ALL of the facts of BOTH sides. STOP looking at race people. GOD IS LOOKING AT YOUR ACTIONS, NOT THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN. May Officer Kerrick and his family find peace in God and know that not everyone (regardless of race) believes he meant to kill that young man. May the Ferrell family also find peace in and with God. All families need to live by example and follow God's commands. Love one another as I love you. Live in peace not hate. Learn from one another, understand one another, but above all LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

Officer Kerrick shouldn't have been charged in the first place. He did what he was trained to do. He gave the order to get down and stop.

This officer has gone through 2 grand juries and a trial. It disturbs me that CMPD and the Charlotte justice system have done all they can to convict this officer despite what the courts are saying. It is time to let this officer and the Ferrell family move on with their lives. Please do not retry this case. A grand jury and a jury have voted and that should be enough. In my opinion CMPD owes this officer some type of compensation for defamation of character, stress, and having to move to find another home for his family. CMPD was quick to take care of the original victim's family prior to a jury even hearing the case. There are 2 victims in this case and 1 has not been compensated. It is very unfortunate that a life was taken. Kerrick feared for his and has now lost the way of life that he knew prior to that day. Where is the help for him to move on?

This officer had a legal trial.
Just because a small group of people cannot accept the fact that there was not a verdict in their favor does not mean that there has to be another trial.
Please do not continue to give in to their harassment as they have nothing to do but try to stir up trouble.

I fully support Officer Kerrick and there should not be another trial. And here are my reasons. This country needs to stop going to court over and over for retrials until a verdict is reached that satisfies the "victim" or the "victim's" family. What a lot of these police involved cases have in common is that the "victims" did not follow police commands to stand down. Besides, another trial is a waste of tax money.
