We should not punish an officer for doing his duty.

Eight to 4........verdict has been decided. Mr. Ferrell or anyone should not "charge" an officer of the law. they aren't mind readers. I would have shot in defense too.

I believe Officer Kerrick was doing his job and I support him. I feel that some people in the police department thru him under the bus so there wouldn't be riots in the streets of Charlotte. All lives matter not just black lives

No retrial for officer Kerrick. The 911 call, Mr. Ferrell running toward officer Kerrick....I would fear for my life to...

Officer Kerrick acted appropriately when being attacked by a suspect in a break-in as the facts were presented. This is over, no one wins here!! If the supporters of hate crimes (Ferrell supporters) were really concerned about "their people", they would be more worried about the black on black crime stats. You want to do some GOOD - check your attitudes, your children, those so called black preachers that spew hate, fathers raise your children correctly. Straighten up your own community/lives instead of messing up someone elses! NO RETRIAL - NO MORE LYNCH MOBS!

My heart goes out to the Ferrell family for their loss but bottom line, Mr. Ferrell did not obey the direct orders of the officers which resulted in devastating results for many. Mr. Ferrell lost his life. Mr. Kerrick's life has been tragically altered forever. There isn't sufficient evidence to prove that Officer Kerrick did anything wrong. I'm hoping the Attorney General will for once use some common sense in looking at the facts and determining a retrial is a waste of taxpayers' money. Why put another jury through this stress of reviewing the same cold, hard facts resulting in a second mistrial? I beg Roy Cooper to look at the facts, not just listen to the squeaky wheel. DO THE RIGHT THING! The silent majority votes too.

Please do not initiate any further legal action against Officer Kerrick. For the sake of community healing if for no other reason.

It would be a waste of time and money to retry Officer Kerrick. I believe he is innocent.

I fully support Officer Kerrick. If, any law enforcement officer tells you to do something, THEN YOU DO IT!. It is for your safety as well as theirs. The whole situation is sad, but I do not think there needs to be another trial. Lets not put both families through this again, and not to mention our tax dollars!

This case should never have gone to trail. It is sad when an officer is attacked in a possible life threatening situation and has to go on trail to justify his only sane response..

I don't see how they could retry him when the vote was 8 not guilty

Citizens do not respect the authority of police officers anymore. I agree there are bad officers but if Ferrell would have just got on the ground instead of running towards the officer he would not have lost his life. We, as a society have to start being held responsible for our choices and actions and stop blaming others. My thoughts and prayers are with both families.

Day in court by peers....no justice no peace....who defining justice...All lives matter no matter who we are...It is not up to man but the LORD to judge....Many lives were effected that fateful night...a young man died and a young man has to live the rest of his days with on his conscious...Let us all ask for guidance.....
