If a white male charged a black male and was shot in self defense there would be very little complaints or discussion. I wonder if in this case if it would have been a black officer that did the shooting, would it have ever made anything but one nights worth of news show.

As a former cmpd officer I support kerrick. After hearing the testimony, I would had acted in the same way.

Going from 7-5 to 8-4 shows it was swinging even more in his favor. Stop punishing us for doing our jobs you barely pay us to do.

he shouldn't have been charged to begin with. You can't attack police officers!

Officer Kerrick was just doing his job. NO WAY should he ever have been charged with anything. And, Charlotte was stupid to pay Ferrell's family 2.5 million. Dear Lord! How stupid can Charlotte get. Now we have a great police officer who did nothing wrong - without a job and no life. Charlotte - you disappoint me

I pray this is over for Randall. He has suffered enough. He did what he was called to do, protect the citizens. The video alone proves Ferrell was a drug crazed individual. Sad but obvious.

The jury spoke of peers could not agree. This is the law. Allow Mr Kerrick to begin healing as an innocent party in an unfortunate situation. If he were not an officer of the law this case could have been looked at differently. We all should allow police officers to do their job without worry of being charged for having to use their service weapon. If he had not there likely could have been three shot policemen that night.

we do not feel that Officer Kerrick should not have been charged in the first place. You can not attack a police officer!

Everyone does not agree with the outcome but the system works.

When officer Kerrick was charged at he was in the right to use deadly force. Also the City should've never payed off the family. Ferrell was under the influence of drugs and was the aggressor.

Waste no more money on this case.

With evidence shown during trial and 8 jurors agree he is innocent and so do I. I feel we need to get this settled so that people can move on, instead of keeping disturbances going on.

Seriously, when a police officer has to worry about his future for simply protecting his life, we have lost control of society. It shouldn't be about race as it is. It should be about justice and having enough common sense to know that there are just some things that you don't do. There are bad consequences for stupidity.

I think if 8 people found him innocent what's the problem.do they want to keep trying him til they find him guilty?

Officers are hired to protect the public. If they can't defend themselves who will? Innocent
