There is not enough evidence to support a retrial.

Kerrick is innocent. No question about that.

I think it is sad that some blacks feel the jury was prejudice in their votes would they have felt that way if Carrick was a black policeman or are they just wanting to keep things stirred up. It is sad a life was lost but protesting and blocking streets and harrassing the police is foolish no matter what race we are - grow up people! Act like adults.

Officer Kerrick was tried in court and proper procedures were followed. Kerrick should not be retried because a few did not like the outcome.

A retrial shouldn't be a consideration. Certain citizens will want this to go on forever until the office is convicted regardless of what happened. We can't allow a lynch mob mentality to overrule justice. This isn't 1870.

This officer was only doing his job. He was attacked !! There shouldn't have been a trial.

Obey and respect the law if they order you to stop do it, no doubt Ferrell would still be alive today had he acted on a civil manner

It is a very sad situation for both families but I believe after reviewing the evidence in the trial that Officer Kerrick should have never been charged. The mistake here is with the CMPD leadership and not the actions of the officer in this case.

Officer Kerrick should've never been charged to begin with. He was doing his job.

Our law enforcement needs to be appreciated and supported. Officer Kerrick and his family have lived through this lengthy trial and it is over. Enough is enough! Let's move on from this. NO NEW TRIAL, please!!

Roy cooper don't be pressured into trying to make a minority happy. The majority are against a retrial.

This officer should never have been charged. This should have ended after the first grand jury failed to return a true bill.

He was simply defending his life!
