He was doing his job correctly. It is a shame when police officers, who are putting their lives on the line everyday, have to live in fear that even if they do their job correctly they could be persecuted just because of the color of their skin. Racism goes both ways; it should be abolished for all, not just one race.

Kerrick should walk a free man. No man needs to be done this way by his city and head of police Monroe threw him to the wolves right after it happened!!

1st grand jury said No! Reason for doubt- cannot convict! 8 to 4 not guilty. Based on Kerrick's testimony- Clearly felt life in danger. & that his gun was not firing! Professional statements: Based on what they saw in the video, both Kenneth Williams, a law professor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, and Bowling Green University criminologist Philip Stinson say Kerrick’s attorneys can make a strong case that their client acted appropriately, given that Ferrell appears to be running toward two officers
“If they have reasonable belief that someone is dangerous, they can use deadly force,” Williams said. “They don't have to be right. They just have to be reasonable.”

He did his duty and the fact that he is on trial is an atrocity. This should not have gone to trial and the civil case should not have happened before the trial. It is disgusting and racist that an officer who does his duty and performed by the book is put on trial because of the color of his skin and the color of the criminal's skin. Look at the evidence, officer Kerrick did nothing wrong. The opposition might as well finish the saying: black lives matter...more than white lives.

He has had his trial, and though it was a hung jury, that is the outcome, as defined by the law. He will continue to to relive what happened that morning, regardless.

This should not go to trial again! He is a dedicated police officer. He felt his life was in jeopardy when he pulled for his gun. If the cop was black and the suspect was white we probably would never had heard about the in incident. Politicians are on e again using the " race card!" It is sad that Officer Kerrick's career is over because of his race

Jurors spoke with 8 to 4. In the situation, Kerrick had to respond that way therefore he is innocent. It's sad that a young man lost his life and we will never know why he did what he did that changed how the officers had to react.
