Another case of a thug charging a police officer and are surprised when they are stopped

I am getting tired of seeing officers being drug through the mud for the misbehavior of a suspect or someone that has been involved in a criminal act. Most of the cases that I have seen across the country has been from blatant disrespect for an officer. Basically the suspect was in some kind of a violation to begin with. That should tell us something about the individual to begin with. an officer should not have to come into physical contact with a suspect who is the aggressor and put his health and safety at risk resulting in possible injury or life to that officer because that person is a hard head and of another race. Stats show that there is more criminal acts among African Americans as well as Hispanics than that of the white population. Common sense would tell one the probability of a confrontation among African Americans and white officers will be higher especially if they are not going to obey the officer when he or she is addressing them. Our officers are not respected by the criminal world and it is because of this kind of circus that is the driving force for the disobedience and disrespect toward them.

CMPD performed a biased investigation instead of having a third party agency such as the State Bureau of investigation coming investigate just like every other agency in the state!

Only the brave would even consider wearing the badge in this crazy nation that we now live in. The criminals have more rights than those that take an oath to protect and serve. Shame on Charlotte for settling a civil suit before his trial.

There is no need for a re-trial, should not have been a 1st trial based off the evidence, as well as the dash cam.

Please do not retry this officer. The jury has ruled.
We've had enough of this racial baiting! Our police serve and protect and while no one is exempt from ethical practices, our police shouldn't fear protecting the people.

The court system has spoken. Guilt could not be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. A retrial is not warranted for Officer Kerrick.
