Please do not retry this officer. Due to the circumstances involved, I do not see any way another trial will result in a guilty verdict. The officer feared for his life and was defending himself.

Eight not guilty to four guilty. Why would the family want to try him again. Better chance of him being found not guilty than guilty.

I thought due process was already given....sound s like there is an ulterior motive behind the AG wanting to blacklist this officer....

The jury came 8 not guilty and 4 for, I believe the eight got it right and another trial would be a waste of time and resources.

Justice for Kerrick !!!! If the BLACK guy had followed the commands of the officers he would be alive today !!! But that also would mean his mom wouldn't be a millionaire !!! When are the blacks going to realize they are not above the law. As for racism ...who in their right mind would charge at a police officer and not expect that officer to react the way Kerrick did. It's time to stop the madness... Have we forgotten the two young white officers executed by a black man. Where were protesters then. Right is right and wrong is wrong. No color is involved. Obey they law. And no issues No justice no peace. .. The only justice is to give this officer complete peace. DROP ALL CHARGES !!! Stop the madness. Have a backbone and do the right thing. Quit catering to the stupid protesters. REMEMBER THIS WE CAN VOTE YOU OUT OF OFFICE JUST AS EASILY AS THE PROTESTERS CAN KEEP YOU IN.. THAT IS IF THEY VOTE !!!!

Nobody really knows the real truth except for God. So if the officer did do this on purpose then karma will come right back and bite him in the behind.

By retrying officer Kerrick, this would do nothing but bring additional hardship to the families and all those involved. Officer Kerrick was put in a terrible position to make a split second decision to protect himself. It is so terrible that this young man lost his life and I pray for his family. I can't imagine losing a child and hope I never have to be in this families position, But everyone in this Country should feel blessed and pray to God each day that we have Men and Women that are willing to put their lives on the line to protect us each day, whether they are Police officers or our Military Soldiers. God Bless them for what they have to endure each day.

Through the joining of good respectful people who support a safe community, we can make this world (and city) a better place. It's time to put an end to the race baiting media and spot lighting all the thugs who think their voices matter. What matters is that Kerrick wasn't harmed that night because it would be a different story had he not shot in self defense. Evidence doesn't lie, but the media and classless individuals do.
