Mr Kerrick was in a horrible position. I feel like he was justified in shooting Mr Ferrell, he was displaying iratic behavior, and he was not responding to commands. I feel Mr Kerrick was in fear for his life, justifably I would have done the same. Also, I wonder if Mr Farrell may have been sucidal. He was heard on tape requsting for the police to shoot him. Also, the first trial ran 2.25 million, this is getting too expentive, for something he could be aquitted of anyway. He has been punished enough. Melissa Wetmore. Please I beg you all, I recommend, to please not to waste any further taxpayers dollars on a dead horse. Any questions please feel free to contact me. I appreciate your time, allowing me to speak my mind.

Only thing Wes is guilty of is being a defender of his and his fellow officer's lives that night. There should not be a retrial to waste even more of our tax dollars on innocent CMPD Officer Kerrick.

First trial was unnecessary. A second trial is a waste of money.

Let's keep politics out of this. Roy Cooper should not let the fact he is planning to run for governor enter into this decision!

Mr Cooper do the right thing and do it now deny a retrial against Officer RW Kerrick This political circus had gone on way too long It never should have went this far He is not guilty now nor then

I urge the Attorney General, Roy Cooper, not to retry Officer Kerrick. He was tried, and most of the jurors found him not guilty! I believe if he is brought to trial again and the outcome is pronounced "not guilty" the proponents for Jonathan Ferrell will continue to demonstrate to get another trial. Put political ambition aside and do the right thing. The city officials of Charlotte abandoned Officer Kerrick before a trial was ever begun. The Ferrell family accepted a monetary settlement before trial. It's over. Now it is time to move on.
