I do not believe there should be a retrial in this case. Officer Kerrick is innocent.

I believe that the suspect approached the officer , endangering him in the process . The officer was defending his own life . Anytime that a person attacks a police officer , armed or unarmed , they put themselves in a position of being shot . Not another trial , not needed - self defense by the police officer .

The man is innocent. He had a trial and all the evidence was presented.It indicated he was innocent. I hope the protesting for a trail doesn't cause a problem. They need to teach their kids to obey the officer or trooper.

The jury has spoken and it's evident that there is reasonable doubt as to the evidence to convict or acquit. Do not succumb to the irrational pressure that is killing this nation as to its hatred of police officers that are trying to do their duties just to further your chances of being elected. You're better than that.

I would ask every American, not just cops, to ask yourself what would you have done in this situation with only seconds to make a life death decision; save your own life or let some unknown irrational acting person take it? I think everyone would have done the same thing that kerrick did. He and his family have endured enough, and may I remind the public that he has rights too, regardless of his race and the race of the one that was killed.

If Ferrell had wanted help he would not have tried to beat down someones door, pull up his pants and then run at the officers like an enraged bull. Anyone with a brain would have defended themselves if they saw that huge guy coming at them. You have no business retrying this innocent officer with the taxpayers dime when there are other felons that should be tried and convicted!

I worked in law enforcement for 20 yrs and I didn't see any of jury members that were law enforcement. Therefore he did not have a jury of his peers. I'm sure that he made the best decision on use force yhat he thought was necessary at the time. He fell back on his training and CMPD "Monday Quarterbacked" his decision. Jonathan Ferrell should have never ran at him like he did, and I'm sure he wasn't an angel making a decision like that.
