Complete waste of tax dollars for this trial. It should have never happened. The first grand jury didn't indict, but yet they pushed it and got another jury and nobody knows what happened or was said behind those closed doors to get the indictment from the 2nd grand jury. In my opinion, the city of Charlotte and the attorney generals office was just going after officer kerrick to keep the peace and keep from having racial riots that are media driven and fueled for media ratings. This is a witch hunt on a law enforcement officer sworn to protect and uphold the law. He was only doing his job and his main goal was to go home safely at the end of his shift. He should not be punished for doing what he felt was reasonably necessary to protect himself. Justice isn't getting the verdict you want. Justice is letting the legal system play out and do its job, regardless of the verdict. Don't retry it because you want a different verdict. That could end up backfiring on you and getting a 12-0 not guilty verdict and still wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on something just to pacify those who can't accept the truth the first time around. Give it up and go prosecute the real criminals that rape and molest children and steal peoples hard earned belongings.

Officer Kerrick had a job to do and was brave in doing so. Ferrell's choice was not to comply to officers and also rush them. Wes's life was saved and probably also other officer's lives as well that night but Wes's life will never be the same because of the shooting but his family's lives are all changed because of Monroe and everyone else that took part in that lynch mob against their own officer.
