This is a sad world we live in. "Guilty until proven innocent." Is that the way that goes? The media has had more influence on the trial than the facts.

He had to make a choice I'd never want to make to go home to his family or not! If I were asking for help from an officer I wouldn't be running around I'd be respectful and appreciative not charging!!!

i support Officer Kerrick 100%! He acted properly and is alive today because of his actions. Recently we had an officer in another state face this same situation and was shot twice with his own handgun. Luckily he survived. This could have been Wesley if he had not acted in the manner he did. DO NOT RETRY!!!

2/3 on jury stated NOT GUILTY. Don't waste anymore tax payer dollars on this trail just for future votes. Do the right thing and dismiss these charges.

I support Officer Kerrick. Officer Kerrick was justified in his actions and did as he was trained. Politics does not belong in the justice system at any level. Please take the politics out of this, do what is right, and dismiss the charges.

Clearly not enough evidence to continue wasting tax payer dollars when it took two grand jury's to incite and a hung jury. Starting to look like a witch hunt rather than justice. There is no way to replace a life lost, but prosecuting an officer for doing his job isn't justice. The evidence was heard and was not enough. Let this end so the officer can return to protecting us just as he was that night.

It's time to end this. A grand jury decided first, now a deadlock jury 8-4 said not guilty. We need to move on. He feared for his life and had seconds to react. Isn't that what these men are trained to do? We have by now all seen the video of Wes being charged at.

I plead for Attorney General Roy Cooper to do the right thing and make the same decision as the 8 jury members have. I am a veteran LEO in NC and have called the AG'S office quite a few times for guidance and have always been led in the right direction and have always been given answers to my questions that I have always agreed with 100%. Mr. Cooper, I say this sir with the utmost respect, please let our thoughts and the 8 jury members findings lead you in the right direction this time. I also hope that you will follow your heart and make the right decision based upon the evidence presented and not on the all the bad publicity and media hype thats occurring all over our beloved state of North Carolina and other states in reference of officer shootings.

I support the peace keepers who put their life online every day. I do not support people who sit in their offices making decisions just to further their careers and do not have the appropriate training and experience to do so.
