The big guy running towards the officer, left the officer no choice but to stop him.

This trial was so wrong in the first place. The civil suit and pay off to the family should not have occurred before this trial. Officer Kerrick did what he was trained to do. I appreciate our men/women in law enforcement.

How much does it take. He was thrown under the bus before an investigation had gotten up to speed much less finished. First Grand Jury failed to find cause to charge so what do you do? Call for another Grand Jury Hearing. Then the city paying out a huge sum of money in a Civil Lawsuit before it had been determined the officer had done anything wrong. Everyone looses. The Officer, the family, the City, County and it's citizens. I can only hope the officer is completely cleared and wins a lawsuit against everyone that was so intent on destroying his life when all he did was want to live to see another day. Beat on door hard enough to bend it, put the homeowners in fear of their life and then ran, ran at three officers yelling at him to stop knocking one down and had his hand on his weapon. I don't know of a single citizen trained and certified to carry a weapon that would not have done the same thing.

I'm so sorry Officer Kerrick has had to go through all this! He did his job! No police men ever wants to have to shoot their weapon, but when forced you have no choice! I feel officer Kerrick had no choice but to protect himself and everyone one around him. Maybe next time a police officer tells someone to stop , that's exactly what they should do. This young man that died would still be alive if he wouldn't have charged the officer and he would have stopped! Just so sad all the way around for both family's.

I believe he did what he had to do at the moment . He wasn't a mind reader , with seconds to make a decision what would you do?? You don't know unless you are in that situation at that moment .

You and I and anyone else don't know what they would have done until faced with situation. He had maybe 3 to 5 seconds to decide, not days or weeks like his haters. He was trained for this and hesitation would have cost him his life.
